I use Golden Airbrush paint Because

* Designed for modifying the Golden fluid acrylics for airbrush/spray application.
* Blends with minimal effort to yield a paint mixture with the proper viscosity for airbrushing.
* Effectively decreases clogging and tip build-up during spraying, eliminating the largest drawback to airbrushing with acrylics.
* Airbrush medium will also reduce Golden's heavy body, matte, iridescent, interference, and fluorescent acrylics for spray applications.
* Golden mediums and gessos can also be blended with airbrush medium for spraying.
* Packaged in bottles except 32 oz./946ml packaged in jugs

And this is once again spam:(

Hi all. Can anyone tell me the difference between Wicked Colours 'Primary Set' and Wicked Colours 'Detail Primary Set'. I want to buy some but not sure which set to go for. I hope this isn't deemed a foolish question, I would just like to know.:)

Primary = semi opaque
Detail= transparent

If you want only one set ... buy detail ... you can do lot more stuff with it.

Wicked user so far, I will try some etac when budget allows
A question, (I know, I ask too many!) How does Wicked metallics act in a .21 nozzle, and does it stay mixed well, im hesitant to try it, afraid of super clogs!!:laugh:

I'm guessing clog city! LOL! I think a .5 for something like that. I've used a gold once, it did go through my .35, but it didn't like it at all, and wasn't great.

Really starting to like wicked! I like the little clicking sound when I shake the bottle, createx are too cheap to add that mixing ball. Makes me feel like a pro :p But I keep little splatters when airbrushing hair with wicked, am I doing something wrong or do I need better paint?

Comments have been suggested in your intro thread :)
I didn't see this first :)

Well, that is the last of that. I was trying to use some of the cheap ink that I had my wife pick up for me when I first got my AB. It spittered and leaked all over the place tonight even reduced. Tip dry out of the ,,, too:(

I use Trident and i seem to be in the minority group. Can not understand why. For a water based paint i can not fault it. But then again i`m just a mug, and don`t get around much. Personal choice i guess.

As a sci-fi miniature painter I started out with Citadel colour acrylics and reduced myself -with bad results, then I found vallejo airbrush ready paints in both their model and game air ranges. I recently got a load of Badger's Minitaire ab ready (so far great results but not thoroughly tested by any means) I am looking at the Badger Model Flex and also wondering if Spectra Tex would be suitable for painting models as would be better value. Having said all that I don't know much about airbrushing and I am very much a learner.

I try and stay away from Citadel and tend to use more Reaper and Vallejo for regular brush painting. I have some goblins I want to paint with the AB when I get a little better control. Man their minions are small! Makes those razor blades and dog tags look huge!

Yea they are small! I wouldn't even try to detail mini's with the ab- I have a hard enough time controlling it for basecoating lol baby steps I believe I'll get there one day. I am working on quite a large model at the moment- just basecoating but I am going to get a bit adventurous and try some simple highlights once I have it assembled. You should try out Vallejo's ab ready paints they do the same colours as Citadel in their Game Air range or for a better selection of colours Model Air, I like them I was mainly attracted to Badger's Minitarte due to the larger pot size at just under 30ml (1 oz) as opposed to Citadel's 12ml or Vallejo's 17ml for only an extra £1- they are even cheaper in the States I believe- Badger that is. I have never seen Reaper paints over here- having said that I haven't really searched for them. I just had a look at those lill' gobies man 10mm thats minute! :D

Wicked detail paint pigments are .001 microns, regular wicked paint is .005 microns, this is from the Wicked paint website. :thumbsdown:

Just did a bit of testing with Createx, AA and Tamiya. AA and Tamiya both flow well, where Createx needs to be super watered down to flow. I like Tamiya for the ease of use, in spite of its limited colors and no squeeze bottle. AA transparents flow well with no tip dry. Tamiya also has a great smell to it.
