You both got the red box edition which costs more because of the box and the addition of the superlube and moisture trap, the standard box doesn't have these so it costs a little less.

Well I wasn't anywhere near being serious when I said "it's only $2000" . I just like saying that, especially loudly in public to see people's reactions . I have a hard time with the good/livable salary because it depends on location and of course the person, and I like racing motorcycles so my idea of a livable salary is probably a lot different than everyone else LOL.

Yes sure, but to be able to afford a basic (I don't mean crap) car and house how much do you need. Toys are optional, you can do without. Over here the prices of cars has skyrocketed because of our exchange rate taking a dive. You can not get a new car for less than $10 000. Houses start at about $80 000 and we can not afford to own one of those so we only rent and that is about $400 a month. And than the house is only 2 bedroom and basically the size of two double garages stacked ontop of each other and no garages.

$80,000 - wow! You would be lucky to find a grotty studio flat, in a dodgy area (basically everything in the one room) for 80 thousand pounds where I live. My daughter has just found a small house to rent, 1 bedroom £750 per month, and that is a very reasonable rate for this area.
The cheapest new car is £6,000, Dacia - no frills hatchback. Many halfway good hatchbacks are around £8000. An average family car like a Ford Focus is £14,000
