Hi everyone, this is my first attempt to the eye (with the template sheet adn without the reference) on glass. It's one month I'm exercising, but still not be able to do nice blends (without speaking about daggers, they are so hard)!!

good job on your first efforts, its a big learning curve for most of us.
the blends in the sphere and the cube are certainly better than my first efforts lol

with the eye, it looks like you've done what every one does..... to dark to quick. make sure you keep a reference close by, The difference between what you see and what you THINK you see/know is there is astounding.

  1.:thumbsup:Great first try at the eye,Like jackie said try not to go too dark too soon, there still a lot to learn but your doing a great job! when you learn and start to add textures to your pictures you will be suprised by the outcome.

You do perfectly well Jackie :) I have the proof on the shelf

Lee
lol
Thanks for the compliment but you do realise that not all that feather work isn't brushed don't you ? thank heavens for scalpels !! (it was my first shot at scalpel too)

Thanks guys for the hints! I will post new works soon. Unfortunately I started my semester and I have less time to exercise :(

Hi guys, I have a question for you. When you do a break during airbrushing, what do you do to prevent dry paint? Most of the time that I do a break and start again airbrushing, I got tip dry way more often than before the break and it is a pain.

Thaanks

If you are leaving paint in your brush when you break, you shouldn't, try to use up the paint that's in your brush before you break, or use only enough paint to last until you expect to have a break, I'm not sure what paint you're using but before I go for a break, I use up what I've got and then clean the brush, I leave a little water in the cup and spray that through when I get back, so never leave paint in your brush if you can avoid it, even if you only break for half an hour or so, the paint can dry up in your nozzle and cause you all kinds trouble.

Throwing away a few drops of paint is cheaper than a new brush and quicker than a complete strip down to clean the mess it could make;)

Thanks @Madbrush for the answer! Btw I have to change the duse, because my cat make the airbrush fell and the needle does not enter properly in the duse anymore -.- A bit of paint flows even if I dont trigger paint!

What about slapping a piece of masking tape over the cup. That works for me, . . . . so far. That would be a break of, say, ten minutes, no more.

Where did you get the template? It's not listed under the video like it says it's supposed to be, is it a paid only template now? If not, can someone share it? Or repost it to the video:
