I am a new guy here. This thread to sing the praises Coast is something I am writing quite happily.

Through friends here I have gotten tonight a Eclipse brush.

I could not be happier with the price or speed that came with the Iwata.

Will I get tossed from here for starting with templates?

Starting? with templates... check out the step by steps and see how many don't use some form of template, it is a short list...

Templates are just a way of transferring an image, and most people use an image transfer method of some kind.

Ideally you should use it to fog in the shapes, give yourself a map/guide of where everything goes, then come in and build up the detail, but just keep it fairly simple as you start out.

Do some freehand exercises (check out airbrush tutors site for free tutorials) as well, then in a few weeks or so you will be able to re do it and amaze yourself at your progress :)

Yeah another positive review for coast. They have been great for me too. As far as templates/ stencils, yeah they are indeed a great tool in the box to make things happen how you want. No shame in using them if you ask me.

Most start out with stencils. The trick is to use them to map out the idea and then make it your own with freehand work. Can't wait to see what you do with your new brush. :)

I also love Coast. I just think their interface needs an update.
AndreZA,
This is in the works! We are hoping to have a completely new Website and system in place this year. We have spent the last year testing systems to find the best solution for our Company and tying in our walk in systems with our online systems. Its amazing how little is out there that will work in the way we need it. Soon!

My Eclipse CS was a Coast refurbished classroom brush too, and I've been nothing but happy with it.

I've ordered from Coast several times since, and gotten phone help from them on two occasions. They were a model of great service every time.

I was sitting in my living room at pretty close to 7pm EST on a Thursday night, when on a whim I decided to order some Micron parts. I pulled up Coasts site, clicked on what I wanted, payed, and went about the rest of my evening. Within an hour I received a UPS notification that a package was headed my way from, you guessed it, Coast. I had figured that I might hear by Monday that the parts had shipped, not within the hour. Couldn't ask for better, and this has been my experience each time I have gone online to purchase from them.
