Sotar 2020 Airbrush and Badger Minitaire paint set

So they no longer make a brush with "Sotar 20/20" stamped on the side of it:)

I really am not 100% sure if they stopped completely. If you read Badgers comments, it sounds like they passed the handling of the Sotar off to another company (WynWyn), but that company has the same address as Badger:), or is located in the same town. They are also still readily available through quite a few retailers on-line. I do not think that Badger produces brushes in such numbers to have inventory for this long... They did completely discontinue the version that had just a small lip at the front of the cup, as well as the shape of the cup changed to what is now on the Renegade Velocity vs a taller, straighter wall. I have both versions.

Version one Microns and Olympos airbrushes are still available too;) to be honest I'm not 100% sure either how it stands, but I read here on the forum from someone that badger stopped production of them, I always fancied one but where I am finding parts for them without going abroad is difficult:(

I have dealt with folks in the Netherlands before in regard to a different hobby, one that would be a bit more restrictive in terms of shipping :) - Is it difficult to order from the US? I would think if you got say, and extra head assembly, and maybe two needles, what more would you need? Even the needle packing is now available to purchase, with a kit to field change vs. having to ship back to Badger. I can also attest that their customer service, no matter where in the world, is fantastic.

It's not difficult but it would be too costly, but it's all too late now since I gave up airbrushing altogether due to the frustration, that normally wouldn't have been too much of a problem but I have a lot to deal with at home so for the time being I stick to pencils which I find far more relaxing.

In this video Ken said that the sotar its almost the same aibrush than the chrome, aprox in min 9

So above video says the Krome is more like the Sotar rather than the Renegades. I'll still take a Sotar rather than a Krome.

The "Krome" is a "Renegade Krome" ;) , but hey, what's in a name? I'd take an original Sotar too...

I find all this very interesting.....since I am the new owner of this Sotar. Now I need to use it. I have a job planned that will require a lot of detail.
Wish me luck...lollollol

In one part of the video he said that the krome and renegade are completely different, because they were designed for completely different markets, one was designed by and for ilustrators, and the other by and for the kustom car industries!

oh, I give up...:) buy them yourselves (although, actually having them does not seem to mean much:p), and then get back to me lol

And by the way, having all and knowing all are completely different things!! :p just a joke!!

Yes, it seems not having them means "knowing"
