Just a quick one peeps, I got some of the new 4030 intercoat about 8 months ago. U transferred some to a smaller bottle sealed the bigger bottle nice and air tight then went to use it about a week ago and the whole bottle was rock hard !
Has anyone else had this happen ?
If not how does everyone store their 4030 ?
Got a little upset as it was a litre bottle lol

Wow! This stuff is giving fits to all. I haven't had mine more than three months so I can't say. I do know it seeds a bit with 4012, the 4020 does a better job cutting it. Both need to settle down a few minutes before putting them in the brush. I like it, just takes some getting used to.

When you stored the bottles did you reduce it with the high performance reducer or any reducer? ( because reduced material generally has a pot life of 48 hrs).Or did it freeze or get too cold? Either way contact Createx's tech support and let them know your issue. They might be able to help you out with the problem you are having.
As for storage I just keep them at room temperature and I haven't had issues with the 4030, but issues with the candy itself. Hope this helps.
Take care

No mate it was only opened once to decant a little into another bottle. Made sure the bottle was air tight. I live in the tropics so no chance of freezing

I'll give them a call. The only thing I can think of is the high humidity where I live. Every time I store a bottle of paint I squeeze the bottle so the paint is to the very top of the bottle then seal it. That expels the air from the bottle. I do that with all the moisture cure urethane I have and they keep for years which mcu is hard to keep. Thought it was very strange for the 4030 to cure in the bottle

Please let us know what they say if you call them, trying to get to grips with 4030, and all info is welcome.

Was your bottle the black label or the newer green label?

I'm thinking it must be some kind of water based moisture cure urethane. I remember when I first started using it it was gelling in the airbrush

wow...........
did you get a response from Auto-air ? That cant be right !

Yeah everyone I speak to hasn't had any problems. I'm wondering if high humidity could be the cause

It's supposed to "cure" from evaporation. I had a small bottle of it mixed with 4020 that jelled up pretty fast but that is supposedly a pretty hot sauce.
