Not an artist

Dalboy

Double Actioner
Hi all I am into woodworking and woodturning. I have just brought a cheap compressor with two guns to use on the turned items so that I can add decoration. I am sure that I am going to have a few questions. I have already done a bowl with bubbles sprayed on using aerosol type cans so have started and wish to expand on that.
I know many will say that better equipment is really needed but as you can imagine that I tend to buy top end turning tools and the like as first choice.

Welcome Dalboy,
We have a few non artists around the place, so don't be concerned about that.
Use what you have for now, (guns & Compressor) and upgrade the guns if needed. I assume the compressor is a standard workshop type of compressor give that you are a 'shed' guy ?
Where in the world do you call home, we can recommend local suppliers if we know :)

make sure you post up some pics of the end result, its always nice to see others works.

I forgot to add that I am in Kent UK

I ordered some equipment three weeks ago including the airbrush set up just before it all arrived I ended up flat on my back not being able to get to the shed and have a play, can't wait to get out there to start experimenting with decorating using the air brush

Ah Kent, my old stomping ground..... Sittingbourne to be more precise :)

You'll be out in the shed soon enough.

Just down the road in Canterbury, seeing where you are my family nearly ended up in Adelaide when they looked into emigrating some 40+years ago
