twood is right, you need the 4030 as carrier for the dye, but you need a dissimilar product to intercoat. (4030 was originally marketed as an intercoat clear, but that changed because of bleed through). Two light coats of 4004 trans base works well, but not for multiple layers as it can reactivate the first layer (apparently). They have bought out a new product called 4040, which has a gloss finish, and can be used for multiple layers - although its recommended to keep an eye on overall paint thickness. Also you can use a urethane clear if you are set up for it safely.
