I need some help with this one. I use wicked colors and spray them on t-shirts. I was using Trans base 4004 soon to be empty. Here is the catch. If I order 5601 960ml is 15 Euros cheaper then 4004. But I can't find info if 5601 would be good with wicked colors... I can only assume by the pictures on the bottles. Anybody have a clue about this one maybe?

The 5601 is made for standard Createx while it will mix with Wicked it will also allow the paint to possibly fail on adhesion .
I have learn that the hard way being when Wicked came out I tried using it to have the paint just peel off the hard surface .

this is the info I am looking for. I need it for t-shirts. So basically I am risking my work will wash off from t-shirt if I use 5601 and wicked combo I guess.

Thanks for your help and your time. I did check the video, which you linked, but I am still lost here lol

I got it mixed up with another video. There’s one describing the differences between the different clears by Createx. Maybe that was a Coast airbrush live feed. I can’t remember now.

Some of the guys on here in the past used Golden GAC900 with great success, It's a clear base that you heat set before you start painting and not too expensive.

With T-shirts not so much being that they both will work on textiles , I only had issues on hard surfaces with adhesion.
But I will suggest using a scrape piece of cloth and do some testing of your own to see how well it will hold up after being heat set and washed a few time.

That sucks. I didn't realize there was more than one trans base. I.bought a 16oz bottle of the 5601 trans base when I should have bought 4004 I guess..crap

Could you elaborate on this? I bought a bottle of GAC900 to use with Goldens on shirts, I thought you mixed this with the paint, but what you're saying is spray a base coat of the GAC900 first then heat set? Then you can spray wicked over the basecoat? I've got some experiments to do on fabric soon.

Yes, spray the GAC900 on and let it dry a bit and heat set before you start. This gives you a nice smooth surface to paint on and gives a latex feel to the tshirt so when your finished it feels like it has been printed on. You can also use it to seal the art work at the end. I believe the 900 can be used 1:1 with most acrylics to use on fabric.
@Smiler65 @matty171 both used it with fantastic results. If you have a search im sure you can find what and how they did it.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try spraying the GAC900 then wicked on top.
