Need help with cfm

Hey so having trouble deciding on a compressor due to unknown factors
I have a badger anthem 155 which I plan on using wicked paints @around 50psi,
Can anyone help tell me what cfm or litres per minute my air brush needs in order to run this?
I won't be running constantly maybe a couple hours per weekend if this helps
Thanx

I checked the Iwata website and found this. It probably won’t be hugely different for the badger.

Q: How much air is necessary to operate an airbrush?
A:
0.5 cubic feet of air per minute (cfm) at 30 pounds per square inch (psi) will propel an airbrush. You can work at lower or higher pressures, depending on the materials sprayed and the effects desired, but the cfm requirement generally remains the same.

Whatever compressor you decide on make sure it has a tank

Hey thanx I've been trying to additional info to see if it applies to what I need.
Is it a fare assumption that if .5cfm @30psi than I would need something with at least 1cfm to get 60psi.
https://hobbytechtoys.com.au/royal-tc90ts-compressor-3-5l-tank-in-alu-case.html I've found this compressor in Perth but couldn't find any reviews online. Do you think this is in the ball park of what I need
Thanx

60 psi 8 litres approximately 30 seconds full blast... I didn't count the seconds... But you need to take in to the calculation, you never do full 30 seconds blast.

can't see your link, it timed out.

60 psi working pressure 8 liters big tank. On your link it says 3.5 liters

So the math is 60 psi with 8 litre tank for 30 secs
So 60 psi with 3.5 litre tank for 13 secs
Is this right?

That air compressor says it has an output of 30-35lpm that's what confuses me the calculations I need to work how much the air brush needs and the cfm needed from a compressor

13 seconds would be correct if my logic is not screwed -.- There are guys here, which can help you more with this. I am kinda new. But like I already told you, when I shoot 60 psi pressure, that's like 30 seconds full blast. About cfm I don't have a clue. I just assumed compressors don't have problems with running airbrushes so I didn't check cfm info. Not to mention I run diy compressor with attached compressor from a fridge to a tank.

If I would start over I would go 25 liters for t-shirts. Now I have 50 liters compressor in my wish list. It all depends how fast you are and how much you spray on one go. Less tank you push more compressor. Here many people shoot illustrations with 20 psi, so I ''guess'' they are good with small tank. They are also people which collect compressors like Mr. Micron lol

You will get good answers and help, I guess they are sleeping or something. People here are all over the globe. Different time zones I guess.

If I am not mistaken, people here are satisfied with 3.5 liters compressors for shooting 20 psi when doing their artwork.

Sweet thanx there's not much info out there about running airbrush @60psi it's more of a generic 20 or so psi everything is based on. I know how much psi I want to use. Was hoping to get an average price silent compressor but might just have use a 25ltr or so noisy compressor.

you can do it with 8-10 liters if it's a hobby and not production.

This might be a bit off topic but how does your diy compressor go?
Was tempted to build 1 myself ( I'm a boilermaker/welder by trade)but didn't want to blow myself up with not knowing too much about safe working pressures and so on!!

this will help you. But bare in mind he is doing this professionally. He is doing a lot of t-shirts.
