Createx use - not airbrushed

Hello to all. I just joined, as you can tell, mostly because my paint questions usually lead me here. Anyway, I've a couple of Createx transparent colors that I want to use for a guitar touch up I'll be doing soon. I know I can use lacquer over them and the finish HAS to be lacquer... and I can mix/match the colors I need. Does anyone have any idea if a brush application of Createx Colors requires the same reduction/thinning as one would use to airbrush them? I've emailed Createx - no reply yet... and Spraygunner ( awesome site ). Just in case someone has used them in other ways... I'd like to know your experience. Thanks.

If you using a traditional paint brush the answer is no you do not need the reduction as you would with a airbrush. But I do suggest a good soft haired brush so you do not end up with brush strokes in you paint , The Lacquer will cover up what little brush marks you get.

Mr.Micron, thank you very much for the reply and info. The spots will be small... and knowing added layers of the transparent paint will change color some, I'll be going slow with a little at a time; you think 5-10 minutes between layers a good time frame? I may have to do a CA drop fill over the paint to level... but I do have minwax brushing lacquer ( supposedly nitro ) to brush on and bring up to level. For sure will be a tiny, natural bristled artist's brush.

more FYI; Createx Tech Support advises 4030 with their Candy to be what they think is the best for this type of application... brush touch up, " although the create colors would work "... also using 4030; adding to the conflicting information : )

You can use a hair drier to help dry the paint, they just need airflow but you can put it on low heat if you want.

jord001, thanks much for the info. I was just using some of the Candy2.0 with brush on wood and that stuff is tenacious; a little on the finger just opening the top wasn't promptly coming off. I think I see why the wicked, etc. are favored over the basic Createx line. I also think the colors I grabbed and have brushed on bare wood may work as is and need little mixing. Anyway, thanks again.
