Hello from Kansas!

Hi all! Long time lurker, first time poster.

I live in SE Kansas, about 100 miles from Kansas City.

I'm a graphic designer by trade, and sort of an artist in my spare time. I've had a few airbrushes in my time but sort of drifted away from it, and fine art in general, until about two years ago when the painting bug bit again. I started with watercolors, then oils, and found myself interested in the airbrush once again.

I've always been a big fan of Drew Struzan and decided to give his style a try. (For those who don't know, he uses airbrushed acrylics and colored pencil.) I've included a couple of examples of what I've done.

I've been using a Neo for Iwata CN with some Com-Art and some Golden High Flow Acrylics. I've been moderately happy with the Neo, but sometimes it's moody. I'm thinking that it might be time to upgrade. I plan to start a thread in the Airbrush forum about it, but I wanted to say hello first.

Thanks for the welcome. I use hairy brush too. I've used acrylic, colored pencil, ink and oils in the same piece. I used to be kind of a snob about mixed media, but I've reached the point where I use whatever works to get what I want.

I wasn't familiar with Lorenzo Sperlonga's work so I looked it up. Very cool stuff!
