Cordyk's Chrome corner tutorial

Great tutorial ,ive got a lot of catching up to do since been away .

Thanks Cordyk. Had fun with it. Going to try doing my sons name next :)

Great job Alaska, that looks awesome.

@ Cordy … something didn't quiet look right on yours and I've just figured it out ! Your reflection is wrong ! You didn't add any bevel to it ....and you forgot the "&" between the S and M

I know, I know ..... I'm off to join the others in the naughty corner

Super tutorial Cordyk. I wish there was something like this 17 years ago when I tried. My book had about 20 steps to do the same thing. To everybody trying this, you've done a great job. You are ready to do lettering on a tank.

Just a little amendment but I can see why you went the way you did. When you cut the main letters, cut the bevel aswell. Remove and paint the main letters, replace the mask on the letters and remove the mask over the bevel. This will 1. save frisket and 2. reduce the times you cut over the same line and trying to cut exactly on the previous line.

I appologise if this is out of line and will remove if requested.

Hey mate, that's not out of line at all, I would do the same myself, I just did it the other way as sometimes trying to replace a cut out piece of frisk can be very fiddly and annoying!! But you have done exactly what my intention was, promote thought about the process. I did state that this way was not the only way and if you find an easier way,go for it.
I will post up the lettering reference pics section tomorrow with your pics.

Thanks mate
Kev

Great job Al!! Where did you get the template from? Did you type that one out on word first? I can't work out how to get the bevel on Microsoft word.

Thanks. I used PowerPoint and just had a border on my letters and figured out the bevel on my own.
