I posted this in the beginner questions section, but thought I might have better luck here.

I'm new. I have an fish tank air pump as a compressor. I want a real compressor with tank. It has to be silent (or as quiet as possible) and small. It doesn't have to be fancy. Franc recommended this one and it looks just right for me. I can't find a viable link in the US.

Can someone recommend something almost the same, or the same that I could easily find and buy in the US? Thanks.

Oh yeah, I can easily sit down and paint 4-8 hours. I work nights, when I'm off, there's not much to do. So it has to be able to go the distance.

If you're painting such long sessions, then you may need to shell out more than USD 100. The one i recommended will need some break after 1 - 2 hours to cool down. Again, I didn't have any visible problem with mine so far but i think if you're really pushing the compressor, a higher initial investment will be worthwhile .

Thanks again! I'm doing some homework.

Thanks to anyone reading this, I think I found my answer in the beginners section.

As AndreZA mentioned, Just remember that if you are going to do t-shirts you will need at least 50psi working pressure (what the pressure gauge reads with the trigger on the airbrush depressed) if you get a compressor that will pump 50psi it will drop by approx 10% when you depress the trigger, giving you a working pressure of less than what you need for effective t-shirt work.
