USA Chicago airbrush Midwest airbrush?

I can understand folks who got burned by Chicago being hesitant to potentially throw money away on a newly re-launched business. Had that problem myself once or twice. However, I've had very good experiences with Midwest so far. All the orders for parts and paints so far have arrived a day earlier than estimated. With the dodgy winter weather in the Northeast US, this has been especially nice. Nothing arrived frozen, so here's a big thank you to the Weather Channel and Midwest Airbrush :)

No, it's a completely different company. Chicago Airbrush Supply was a website/DBA owned by a company called Awakening Avatar Ent. who also owned: Artsupply.com, Genesis Art Supply, and some sites selling display boards and printing supplies. The owner was always eccentric but really went nutty when he over extended himself and could not sort out the finances and ultimately went bankrupt in the worst way. I am former a employee who bought the website at the bankruptcy auction as well as some of the inventory and started a very small company specializing only in airbrush supplies. Please let me know if you wish to know more.
It is a different company name and address. Sol Goldman still runs it. He worked at Genesis Art Supply and Chicagoairbrush ( Both places folded. Easy to buy stuff if you pay with a credit card.) . His father owned both previous companies. So yes Sol owns it now, I wouldn't trust him with your money either.

While this is a older post it would have been nice of you to make your first post an introduction.....? you can find that section here http://www.airbrushforum.org/introductions/

I have ordered items from Midwest before knowing the story with Chicago. Needless to say Midwest ent out of their way to satisfy me on a back order that they didn't have to do and will buy from them again besides the fact that their shipping costs are half of what Coast's are. and again the service was just as good as Coasts

I stumbled upon this thread by accident and felt the need to post.

I placed an order yesterday with Midwest Airbrush Supplies without any knowledge of the history surrounding the company. To me, they were just another airbrush retailer on the interwebs. They happened to be the only place I found that had the brush I wanted in stock.

With that said, I placed the order at 11am yesterday, and had my new brush in hand by noon today. Granted, I'm somewhat local. If I had to complain about something, it would be that I didn't get the free Harder & Steenbeck pin that was supposed to be included with the airbrush, which I don't really care about anyway. All things considered, it was a smooth transaction and I received my goodies the next day.

Just an unsolicited testimonial from a satisfied customer. YMMV
