Short video clip building up a portrait

Marissa

Needle-chuck Ninja
It might be of use to pick up a thing or two, a little 13 minute video of a demo.

I'm hoping to make your class at bear air in mass. Thank you for sharing the video!! Gives me some more motivation on the two portraits I have to do as a christmas gift.

can not wait for your dvd.....it can't come soon enough!

Ditto!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a bad workman, I blame my tool for not being able to produce this amazing detail and quality, but I know in my heart of hearts that if Marissa used my hp cs, she could still do it, and it's all down to me. This DVD will be at the top of my shopping list for sure!

I showed that video to a couple of friends and they confess that halfway through they did not think it will look that good at the end. I'll buy the video just as a back-up for the class being taken. You've got 7 months to finish it.

Outstanding video Marissa , I always enjoy watching you paint and even though this is only a demo I do pick up pointers from it ,

I think if marissa used a hose pipe she would still achieve similar

I definitely would like to get a copy of your DVD. This video was pretty good. I always enjoy watching a painting come to life. What was that little tool you scratched some highlights in with? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys, looking forward to finish my project. One more class this year, a private one from Swiss. After that I have a bit time to finish some paintings and my DvD until he 2nd week of January and than we are gone again for several months. These reactions really encourage me to finish the DvD and start the next...

Hab, that would be a round scalpel without the holder. Round, so I don't damage the surface, but just scrape off some layers of paint. I work with transparents, so under every layer is another color. I can scrape back until the white of the board if needed. Without a holder because I have more control this way.

Simply Amazing Work!...also the background music have me in the GROOVE

I was at one of Marissa's classes in November and yes at certain points of the portrait you do think, "this is never going to look like the picture" but I can assure you 110% that it does come to life in the end.

I'm also looking forward to getting a copy of your DVD Marissa. Although i have my notes to work from, being able to watch the process again will be so valuable. Try your best to get it done. :)

Hab I think Marissa uses a #24 blade, it's the larger one of the same shape, the other is a #23 which is a bit smaller.
