Whats the difference between custom micron with custom micron V2, Is iwata improve the head design?
At iwata website there is no description about improvement of head nozzle design, but at lionart.nl there is description about head nozzle redesign.

"Improved Nozzle base, Modified angle and position of internal air passages to improve atomisation" ->http://www.lion-art.nl/contents/en-uk/d4.html

I did some research a while back and could not find anything that mentions where and what was improved. The part numbers are the same for the V1 and V2. Unless they've completely discontinued the V1 design and you can only get the V2.

Andre will put me right if I am wrong but from what I recall about the old V1 head it had only 1 air hole in it and the V2 head has 3 air holes. I can check it anymore as I sold my old V1 after I bought the V2 and I kind off regret that now as it was a perfect airbrush I just could not work with it any more after I lost the fine movement in my right hand

No, my V1 has 3 holes.

direct from the Iwata website
"Trust the Custom Micron Version 2 to atomize and spray in the same flawless manner, plus deliver a few cool, new features – the trigger is square shaped to be more ergonomic, the crown cap fits on the back of the handle in the crown cap dock (so you don’t lose your crown cap!) and the auxiliary lever is now attached to the chucking guide for easier re-assembly"

I read that the new head atomised the paint better which was the main improvement, and it had the square trigger etc, my v1 worked fine so I couldnt justify nor afford another.

I was so happy when the V2 came out, it meant that V1 got way cheaper, and my family clubbed together and got it for me. I really don't think there's much different about it. The needles maybe, I think I read they were a different length though I may be wrong about that?? Square trigger, (which would actually put me off, I like things roundy) and cap holder on the back. My V1 is a dream, if it painted any finer I'd need a magnifying glass, so if the V2 atomises better than that it's wasted on me lol.

The new needle is indeed shorter but otherwise the same. Can be used in a V1 but a V1 needle will not work in a V2 if you want the handle on. The new trigger is also taller. It's the first thing that will be replaced if I ever get one. The cap storage thing does not bother me. I will never use it. The biggest improvement is the 1 piece rocker lever and needle shaft. The bad part is that they changed the body slightly so that part does not fit the V1. But for even a $20 difference I will take the V1 over the V2.

Oh I forgot the trigger assembly, is it more like the eclipse one? That is much easier to use, but not enough to warrant a V2. And the tall trigger is not for me either. If I had to replace mine for any reason (fingers, arms, legs and eyes crossed that never happens) then I would choose a V1 again.

the trigger assembly on the v2 is the same as on the v1 , I went for the v2 for one reason only that was the new trigger as I wasnt able to operate the v1 trigger any more :( , to me it was a big improvement as it gave me back the control I lost but time has passed and I can use and control the shorter triggers again just not for longer than a hour at the time.
my V1 was from 2008 and I am sure it didnt have the 3 holes but it doesnt matter that much as it was/is a perfect airbrush just not as good as the K33 I am using right now

I don't think they make the V1 anymore, but you can ask for or just order the spare trigger for the V1 or the trigger from the HP-A,B or SB it's the same type of fit meaning it has the horizontal pin instead of the vertical one the eclipse has:) I've had the V2 in my hand and liked the feel of it and also liked the square trigger but it did feel too high for me, although that probably is because I just wasn't used to it.

I've only got baby hands so don't like tall triggers at all. Hopefully enough people will have V1's hanging around that don't use them and will sell one if ever I need one. Certainly cant afford the V2 - until they bring out a V3 anyway lol. Until then I shall continue to love and stroke my precious and hope it loves me back for a long time.

The V1 has been around for over 20 years so you might have to wait a while for the V3.
