My name is Tomas and Im new to this airbrush thing. I don't consider myself as an artist but I like to do staff by myself. It all started because I've got my motorcycle to paint. So I started to search how to go about that. After research I thought, why not to try to do something fancier than just one simple color. I started to look for some tutorials on airbrush and found on YT airbrush tutor... that leaded me to this forum. I did get myself an airbrush (knockof which I didn't know at a time). and started to practice. Dots. lines and dagger strokes. It didn't went well. Enamel paints are not good for practice...Chinese airbrush it is not good for practice...Chinese compressor with no tank it is not good for that eider. Bored of strokes and frustrated with gear. Switched to my little by size and massive by volume of noise other compressor with 6l tank. Have built a box for it (to dump some noise), it didn't made a big difference. I decided to try to airbrush something better than a dot. and went for 'THE EYE'. As I watched several of Michs tutorials, went to his web page to grab free reference and an outline. Couldn't find anything on there to download, apart from some pictures. As I use a projector to use my PC I went for it and just have done an outline from one of eye pictures (Sorry Mich I'll get you some beer when you'll visit UK). my first attempt to airbrushing:
just after I finished it, one of my neighbors knocked on my garage door asking what that buzzing noise is. It was 2 am... no more practice till I'll sort noise problem.
Regards, Tomas
