Afternoon everyone.Yep it's me with a couple questions.
Airbrush medium> What does this do and does a person actually need it ? The other is Glycerin, what is this used for? Airbrush cleaning additive ? Thanks again

Airbrush medium...? Hmm, Golden do one, it is used to take their golden acrylic and make it suitable for airbrushing. Glycerin, useful for a number of things but limited with AB's. Do a search on glycerin here and see what turns up. I do recall a conversation about it but that might be 18 months ago. Normally clean up with the reducer of the paint you are using or a recommended cleaner.

Medium can also be known as transparent base. It makes paint more transparent without thinning the paint.

ditto what the two others have already said - I have Golden Airbrush Medium, and use it extensively to reduce my paints - making them more transparent. For me, it seems that it also helps with some flow characteristics, more so in some colors than others. I use it with all the brands of paint that I have that are acrylic based, so Golden, Badger, and Com-art to name some.

Glycerin can be used to aid flow, or reduce tip dry with certain paints. One would normally just add a few drops of glycerin to an ounce of water or so, and then use this mixture to reduce your paint. The Glycerin basically acts like a lubricant within the paint to aid flow. I have used it, but am dubious at best of it's actual results.
..

Golden stopped making their airbrush line of paints but the have the medium so that you can adjust the High flow line of paints and their other Acrylic to make it more like the airbrushing line it also increases the transparency of the paint. Water can still be used as a reducer. I would recommend a 50/50 mix of water and airbrush medium and add it to the paint.

Glycerin is used in some homemade airbrush cleaners. Avoid using any ammonia based cleaners because it affects the nickel chrome plating.
