i just got back in to drawing and trying to take it farther and start airbrushing. i bought a real crappy air compressor that's not worth excrement because i didn't do my research but i'm trying to right my wrongs lmao. it came with acrylic paint a few air guns and a tank less compressor, im trying to start off on canvases, shirts and move it up to murals later on when i hone my skills. im on here looking for guidance on new compressor, air guns, and paints as well as good habits/tips i should start off right away to hone my skills for detailed art work. im trying to start with very easy projects and work my way up as i go. thanks for hearing my out hope to hear from someone

Welcome from Australia :D

what you have bought will at least give you a taste of airbrushing, but if you are serious and wish to continue then yes, you will need to upgrade.

The iwata Eclipse HP-CS is often recommended to newbies, its a good all round brush that is not going to be outgrown. with practise you will be pulling great detail with it too. There will be equivilants with Badger but I'm not familiar with their models so I'm sure someone else will pop in

Compressor wise.... is noise an issue, if not then just a cheap workshop compressor will do the job, it wont refill often so it wont be noisy often LOL, if noise is an issue maybe look at sparmax 'studio' type compressors. they have a tank and will be quiet.

Paint wise your choice is dependant on what it is you plan on painting on. (eg: tshirts / art/ vehicles/ models) Createx Wicked / Wicked Detail are good all rounders, again I'm not familiar with other brands. . .

head over to http://www.airbrushtutor.com/ and sign up. there are 'exercise sheets' and projects for beginners.

Hi from the UK. JackEb got you covered. The eclipse is a great brush, and the exercises are the foundation for everything you need to become an airbrusher.

I would suggest for a brush to get an HP-BCS so you have a larger supply of paint to do the shirts and murals and an HP-CS for the canvas paintings. And for a compressor I would do a portable unit with a 5 to 6 gallon tank with wheels. This way you can work out of home and be portable for mural work.
