Anyone know where to get this check valve?

I have a Badger silent air compressor that's 20 years old. I picked it up 5 years ago and while it had low miles it needed to have an oil leak fixed, and I had to install a new pressure switch.

Well, that's all done but now the check valve is leaking. I'm attaching a picture of it. I know from talks with Badger previously that this model is from an Italian company, if that helps in narrowing things down, but for the life of me I cannot find a check valve that looks like this. Anyone seen it before and / or know where I can get a replacement?

Looks like a repairable check valve, you should be able to make it work, all a check valve is most of the time just a ball and spring (the type you have) or trap door type letting air thru one way by pushing the ball/door open and stopping it the other way by spring pressure seating the ball against a o-ring seal

It's not compulsory to use exactly the same valve, any valve that fits the hose and has the same pressure rating would do so looking at parts for later similar compressors would be your best approach.

I'd find something for 8 bar and installed that using the fittings.
There's no need to search for exact the same valve. They all work fine.

Thanks for the advice. I'd like to replace it because it's 20 years old and is pretty gunked up in there and the valve itself is pretty beat up. It feels like it's not worth the time to try and fix it.

As for what to replace it with, I've looked around and all the check valves I've seen appear to be a little too bulky to fit under the case of this thing-- maybe I'm wrong, and am more than happy to to look at candidates if anyone knows where to look? (I can also check on new, similar models but am not sure how easy it will be to order spare parts from the companies in question.)

I came across these folks, they are a wholesalers but they may be able to help you out or tell who they supply to so that they can, I've been googling for about ten minutes and came across quite a few that looked suitable, in any event your best search strategy will be specialized compressor and valve companies rather than airbrush compressor manufacturers, these manufactures buy their parts form other manufacturers so those wold be guys to find.

I could actually find you the correct size part if there was some reference in your photo as to the size, for example a little ruler in the photo, it would be handy also to know the exact name and model/model number of the compressor you are trying to fix.

If you know the size of the part i.e. 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 you can simply google "1/8 inline check valve" if you click on google images you'll see similar looking items and then you can click there and see the relative website where the photo originates from, during my googling I came across a few on ebay too, but I never deal with them, I look for the seller and then check reputations.

I personally think that if you removed that valve and soaked it in cellulose thinners it would clean up nicely and do what it was made to do, from my checking around there are no rubber rings or vulnerable parts inside.

Yes, the dimensions would be nice to have! I'll also attach a couple of pictures to show the measurements.

The threads at top and bottom are 3/8" / 24 pitch, while the side port, where back pressure that would otherwise remain in the pump blows off, is M5 / 80 pitch.

Any luck finding replacement parts for the 380-2?
Mine has numerous pin-hole leaks in the air tank but an otherwise fine Italian motor. I need a replacement 1.4 gal. tank. Any idea where to look?

Badger recommended I go to silentaire regarding replacement parts. www.silentaire.com

There's a 'contact us' link on the site, which has a phone number. Call them, explain what you're after, and they'll have their parts guy get back to you. In the meantime, this is a manual / parts list for their compressors that best match the Badger 380:
