Im useing efx paint on its own no thinners.
Im painting and along an all of a sudon and it comers out like water, if painting with water ,
Ive empty the compresses put a water ting in line
If i try it on printer paper it sprays alright
can any one help
Paul

So far, I've run into that after a color change. No matter how much i spray the rinse water out it seems like there a pocket in there somewhere. I have to spray out a good bit of paint on some scrap to make sure theres not some little hidden pocket of water before i start painting with it.
Maybe you're experiencing the same thing?

Ill try that may be it the same ill let you know if its that

you cant use etac efx paints on yupo "paper" it wont hold to it as it is not made to be used on synthetics

what kind of compressor are you using?

The only time water will spit is when there is water in the air hose/airbrush body. Sometimes you will get a spit of water after a color change/rinse because there is actually water or cleaner clinging to the bottom of the brush, or head assembly. When you tilt the brush into position, the drop runs down towards the end, and into the air stream. The paint path in a brush is actually quite simple, so there isn't really a place for anything to hide :) - although, at times it sure seems like it!

E'tac is not a great choice for using on synthetic paper, and will remain extremely delicate.

I have a small on with a tank,
If the paper is not suitable for E'tack paint Ill use a different one
Ive got illustration and wicked and illustration transparent
I know that the synthetic paper has a plastic coat or something on it
thanks for you help

@DaveG You got me to check things out a little closer, The reason mines doing it is because theres water sitting in the crevice between the regulator and holdown ring. Which never quite seal so when i start painting little bits are pushed out with air and ride down the tip.
I wasn't going to mention it......since it's my problem but on the off chance paulcouk is having the same issue, or it could help someone else out here I'll throw it out there.

I understand what you are saying - but will point out that the "regulator" actually becomes pressurized when you release air, and air is actually getting pushed out around the edges of it - rather than getting sucked in - so would follow any water that gets trapped around, or in it...

I paint quite a bit on Yupo using Illustration. It too remains very delicate for a while. It is very easy to damage the painted surface for at least the first 24 hours. You will get used to it, if you stick with it - I found that adding a little 4030 ( i use a 50/50 mix of 4012 one 4030) to the paint toughens it up greatly, and I usually use this for a background. It cuts back on the ability to scratch or erase, but make sit easier to work faster...

Yeah exactly, the pressure makes little bubbles come out around the edge until it collects into a drop, then rides down into the airstream like you were saying.

after reading the above...
the brushs I am using, the head set has air coming from the joints on the head where they join together
I dont know if it supposed be. I have a long lead coming from the compressor to the brush

But chapstick on the threads works great (If you're experiencing what i was) , Thanks Dave!
Otherwise, you might need your water trap closer to the brush if your lead is pretty long.
If it's niether then well , I'm sure someone will kick in some more ideas here soon.

what is Chapsticks a lip barn
ive got a water trap on the compressor and one in line connected to the brush
being from wales united kingdom we do get a lot of water in the air , but I thought the water trap would take it out

Thanks
It has been said on the forum dont use ETac EFX on yupo
I am using yupo paper as a beginner it is easy to eases, to eases my mistakes ( which are a lot )
I am using illustration colors now.
I think the water must be from the compressor, it is still there when using illustration, but there is a water trap on the compressor and one just on the end of the brush, and it is only a few weeks old. I get water taped on the compressor water trap, Ive checked the compressor and there is no water in there
I like your utube tutorials
