Greetings, my name is Rick from Apache Jct., AZ. I initially used airbrush many years ago doing Commercial Art illustration. That eventually evolved into a sideline business of fish taxadermy. I again became very
intimate with the airbrush painting the fine details of skin-mount fish.
Retirement came nine years ago due to health issues. Tying Flies has kept me busy but lately a feeling of the need to do artwork has taken over.
I used to use an assortment of Paasche, and Badger brushes. In doing research on new airbrushes, it seems that the Iwata get about a two to one mention when it comes to performance as well as parts availability.
I picked up an Iwata Ecplise HP-CS. So far this brush performs very very well, especially considering it's been 15 plus years since using any brush. As you can imagine, my skills have diminished Just a touch!!!!
I went into this thinking, . . . couple days to get the feel back! "piece a cake!". . . Yea right!
If it weren't for the fact that my memory is good and I do remember what to do, I would be at a total loss!!
Aside from all the tough times here in getting started, I do look for ward to this new/old journey of art expression with the airbrush.

Hey hey - welcome back - there are a few fish types here, @basepaint for one. Quite a few paint lures. I'm a fly tyer as well down in New Zealand. The eclipse is a great brush - many of us have them here as a mainstay. I suspect the old touch will be back pretty smartly.
