New Krome

I understand about price. But had you known how this would go you could have taken your krome money and the cheap chinese brush money and bought an Eclipse of some sort. I know they don't have the "super fine" nozzles, but if you look at what Jonathan Pantaleon is doing, he uses eclipses with at most a polished needle. Buy Once, Cry Once.

Im not sure how old mine is (it was a gift from Herb) but I'd say the fit and finish is at least good, and its a very nice spraying brush. I don't think it would have been a first choice for me to buy, but hey you can't beat free! ;)
No you definitely can't

I'm not gonna give up on the krome just yet, I kind of liked the idea of having a U.S. piece. Might just be a fluke.
Probably get the pointzero as a backup anyhow, If it becomes my primary over the next few weeks here then I'll just call it sad.

Have you contacted Badger? I've heard their customer service is second to none- they might send you a new brush or something?

I sent them an email just this evening, we will see how that goes.
Worst case I end up buying a new regulator and getting a velocity handle when I order a new ultra fine needle and nozzle. ( I was using the .21 setup with the .33 reg since the other reg stripped and dropped the brush so thats on me mostly)

And just for the sake of going totally off topic, From what I can gather the pointzero needle shaft diameter is 1.2mm which means I can buy Cheap 6AL4 Titanium rod and stick it in my lapping jig for gemstones to grind and polish a properly angled point on it and experiment with a titanium needle :)
Thought about it with the Krome but it's shaft diameter is 1.28mm or so which would mean turning the entire shaft down or finding a teflon o-ring with the proper ID and OD to work.

Well After emailing badger customer service friday night. No response as of close of business monday.......
My handle is now completely bare brass except foe a few specks.

I'd call. In fact the one time I had a badger repaired I just sent it in with a note and return address. Showed up after... not sure how long it took. But it was fixed.

Yeah i'm gonna call them tomorrow. Hoping I don't have to send it in to replace a handle and spray regulator because between shipping and their fee I could just buy the parts and keep my brush in the meantime.

I bought a Krome early last year and it was leaking paint around the bowl where it attached to the body. I sent it to Badger and they instantly sent me a new one. About a week later they also returned the one I had sent back. I put some JB weld around the bowl and filed it smooth. Now I have 2 Krome's that work very good.

Maybe I'll order the chinese thing and then send this to badger when it comes.

LOL I'd love to. Even still I'm not sure i see the point in getting an eclipse if you're already thing about an hp-b+

Well I just bought an Evo even though I own an Infinity... my Infinity gets lonely when I'm gone so I got him a little brother to hang out with :) We wont get into my Paasches :whistling:

Why not? Its fun having a massive airbrush collection :)

I'm a proud member of the AAD Group..... (Airbrush Aquisiton Disorder for those wondering)
I stopped counting after i had one for each hand, 99% iwata and one H&S

Well after a week waiting for an email response from badger and trying unsuccessfully to get anyone on the phone I'm left with the choice of either paying more money to send it in blindly to a ghost company and going off of the faith of the other members here that they will take care of it, or just returning it through amazon...........I'm returning it, I really didn't want to but I printed the shipping label tonight. I love the look and feel of this guy... I love having a U.S. Made product, but I can buy hit or miss products with no support from anywhere.
It seems like my experience is the exception and not the norm so maybe one day I'll give a badger another shot.

Amazon is easy - you could have had another brush delivered at the same time they were picking up the first one - I have done it more than once. I too would say that BAdger would take care of you lickedy split - you fill this page out, send it in, and get taken care of - no worries. http://www.badgerairbrush.com/Service-Supprt.asp

I've only heard talk and speculation about the PS770, and not really much about the rest of the line. I am not sure they all come from one maker, or are branded by several.
