Welcome to Canada...and to the forum
Where abouts in Canada are you. I am in Southern Ontario, just west of Toronto

hey , im in saskatchewan , near saskatoon , only moved here in jan of this year , ...

it was -20 this morning , ..... its getting chilly for sure

OK so what is this...you moved to Canada BEFORE our summer...? Hmmm, you must be in love or something... :) Anyway, welcome from New Zealand! What part of the long misty isle did you live in?

hi mark , i was in paraparaumu on the kapiti coast , married a canadian girl from this province , we had twin daughters ... we decided to bring them up in canada , away from horrible earthquakes ....

lol... yes I was there for the last one... not much fun but I figured if I was going to be in a city during a quake Wellington would be close to the top of the list...

the last big one in november last year was the worst i have ever been in in my life , also the most terrifying time ever , ... and i have had a leg torn off in a motorbike crash , ...ex firefighter of 21 years as well .... but that quake was the clincher

this january we had -46 without the windchill factored in ..... i would live in the artic to avoid earthquakes

You have engaged with someone who starts shivering at 10deg C , gods honest truth I have no idea how anyone stands those sorts temps. But I do feel you on the earthquakes, I have only ever felt one tremor in Sydney as a result of the small quake in Newcastle over 120 KM away . Part of a Returned Services Club collapsed killing quite a few people the only deaths attributed to a seismic event In Oz, those things shake you to your sole

the last one we were in before coming to canada , i swear i thought we were going to die , glasses smashing , doors banging , .. screaming ..... it was terrifying , you couldnt walk .... it was hell .......new zealands coastline was raised 5 metres with that one permentley ....

I don't blame ya, 15 minuites after I would have been figuring out how much of the house would fit into the ute. But to -46 how do you air brush without turn turning it into mini flame thrower, boil water and drop your paint into it, to thaw. Most kiwi's move to New Zealands summer island ,,australia :D:D the only thing to get to -46 are our politicians IQ,s
