Painting all freehand at moment to get used to control psi paint mix etc. Drawing or tracing part pics and using that to play with.

If / when you have questions , the search function on the site works well. You’ll be amazed at the amount of information there ready to go. That said, sometimes the wording means you can’t find what you’re looking for, so head into the “Beginners Questions”, throw it up and the answer will be with you shortly.
Also, don’t be shy about posting pics of anything you’ve done so far, you’ll be surprised how much help can be generated.

Mixing is a magical art of alchemy all to its self. Reading and experimenting seem to be the best course of action.Good to hear! Im struggling mixing colours not sure if being colour blind helps!

Thanks very much! Painting stops me thinking about other stuff maybe why i try harderHi there! Welcome to the forum. I thought you said you weren't an artist??? Looks like you either have some talent or you paint by sheer force of will! I'm diggin it. Like the cars!
When i say freehand i draw and trace some lines!I tried freehanding a hot rod yesterday... umm yeah, it didn't come out as nice as yours!
Guess so, the st George picture i planned to do over several days but only manged couple of hrsLol I just pointed the airbrush at the paper and started winging it... and it shows!
I work as a long distance truck driver, so anything I've ever painted didn't involve a lot of time. I do think that as you gain experience and confidence, you will be willing to spend more time working on something to get it just right. I also think that people that spend "months" working on a project probably work on other projects during that time, so it's not like they only did that one project.
