Hi from London Ontario. Newbie

Welcome to the forum Samantha, i thought i had already welcomed you here but I hadn't. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the classroom in a box.

Lee
Why thank you :)
I had uploaded a pic of Joan of Arc that I used one method from that kit I really enjoyed. I tend to shy away from stencils so when they showed up I was really awkward with them. Although while seeing some work on the forum (in the step by step section) I notice that these incredible textures that I am seeing are done with stencils; looks like I may have to teach myself how to use them more as I really like the outcome :)

The trick with stencils is to make the finished product look like you didn’t use a stencil.
A lot of texture can be achieved by using all sorts of open weave items to spray through.
Eg: green scourers that have been split so they’re thinner. Dryer sheets - I wash mine then iron them, it gets rid of the chemical build up and gives a more open texture. Mr Micron uses a product called “Remay” which is similar.
Hunt the crafts shops, things like interfacing, loose weave hessian, the possibilities are literally endless

He'l there. I have some airbrush experience and stumbled upon this thread in hopes to bring my game to the next level lol. I have bought a dru blair classroom in a box and although I used to turn my nose at these sort of techniques I found myself in awe of the effect it created. So real, so pretty :) anyways thanks for having me
Welcome to the forum Sam.

HI HI finally have a chance to upload a couple pics (so nice of you to ask btw, I am loving this forum already) Sorry if you know me on facebook you will see nothing new as I refuse to show current projects annnnnnnnd that happens to be the projects that I am using Dru Blair Hair technique on. . . Shame I know =/ Shortly though as I wish I could show you my 'French Project' atm, figuratively dying to show the final product LOL.
