"Quiet Compressor Info"

I once stumbled on a forum that recommended a certain filter... just never got around to trying it.

Here’s a basic quiet intake:

California Air Tools compressors started putting tubing onto the intake ports of their air intakes. That’s an easy upgrade to do:

I found this diy idea. It’s a lawnmower muffler and an air filter:

That is a valve cover breather off a "race engine". Any hotrod shop will have it... plus auto zone and the regular chains will have them too.

That tube helps a lot to dampen the sound. You can go a step further. I used a small square from a washing-up rag to cover the opening. I've found that you can go 2 layers before you are cutting off the air but I just stick to one. It works like another filter that keeps the filter cleaner for longer.

Well.... f me!!
So, I decided to take a chance on the husky for 137. Went to amazon. Hmmm where is it?
They increased price to 165 but a couple sources in stock.
So... back to air compressors direct. 152 and free shipping. It’s on the way.

Im pretty sure Its identical to a california air 2010a, right down to the Leffoo brand pressure switch.
Except its got a steel tank so its 4 pounds heavier
They fudged the numbers on the noise rating.
In the same listing its stated as 36dpa (whatever dpa is) at 3 ft and 45 dba at 35ft
Im inclined to believe the latter number

But its $30 less than the 2010a
Id save 30 bucks and take the steel tank option too
ITs always cool to see some other options for comparison , Thank you for posting up all those links.

It should be here next week... will see.... I will take a video and post it if I can.

I got lucky. I was shopping compressors for a while, went to the pawn shop to get a stapler and ran across this senco pc1010.
Said it had a leak in the air tank so it was in the clearance bin for $10.
I plugged it in and found it was a leaking regulator.
So now I've got $25 in it.
If I can drop 8db with some intake mod it will be as quiet as the California. Airs. Assuming they're all honest on the numbers.

Probably not the best little compressor but for $25 ill live with it.
Comes w no intake muffler whatsoever so I think it should be easy to drop the noise down.

Videos can't be posted here direct from your phone or computer, they have to come from a video hosting site, most popular is YouTube, if you don't post there or anywhere else it's not coming here.

I'm actually trying to help youo_O
