Paint holder

Hello, I hope everyone is ok :)

Does anyone have a preference with a paint holder/organiser for the createx illustration brand?
I was looking up about getting one but they don’t specify the size of the holes for what size bottles or i’m dumb and am missing something.
Was thinking of just biting the bullet and building one with a few peices of wood and some studding.
Any info or links for particular ones people are using would be awesome
Thank you

I have tried a few different ideas. Right now I’m using clear acrylic makeup organizers for nail polish I found at the dollar store. I have seen them online, but like you, wasn’t sure about the size. The squares of mine measure 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Hope this helps or gives you ideas. I have found products for tattoo and nail salon that can be used for airbrush. Organizers, carts, etc.

I'm still looking for a good mobile setup. was kind of thinking a makeup train case like this

If I could find just the foam inserts from this it would be nice too....third pic

Only problem I found with these was the depth. Some 2Oz bottles would be ok, but anything over might be a struggle.
But knowing you, I’m sure you’ve already checked the dimensions.

I have no idea. I would imagine the most practical option would be a fellow artist covering material cost and not concerned with profit. Maybe I’ll buy a 3D printer.

To do what you've posted as smooth as they look you're looking at over $2000, I've seen the quality of machines under a $1000 and it's not what I woukd like on my desk, the plastic needed to feed your printer is also expensive, you may get 2 of those bigger racks out one roll, you really would need to be earning from it to warrant the cost of one.

I can't remember who it is but we do have a member that has started airbrushing 3D printed models, maybe he could advise you better.

I didn’t realize that the cheap 3D printers weren’t able to make decent simple designs. Bummer.

I looked into buying one while I was in Holland, what's saw was a machine capable if producing small items no bigger than 12 cm cubed, the machine cost €900 which is around $1100, There were three small models around the built machine in the shop which were really rough to the touch, the guy in shop told me it took one full reel to make all 3 models and when buy the machine you have to build it yourself.

A far cheaper method of making your own trays is probably vacuum moulding which you can build seriously cheap, all you need is some plywood, a heat gun and a standard cylinder type vacuum cleaner, the type which has a flexible hose, after that you just carve a model to make your mould then you can buy your vacuum moulding plastic at any decent art/hobby shop, there are loads of vids on this on YouTube.

I’ve never heard of vacuum molding. I will definitely check it out. Thanks
