Wicked silver base coat

What do people usually use as a base coat for silver paint, in my case wicked silver. seems to go on super light and will take a long while to build up.

I've used white or black as a base coat for silver. Depends on the transparency of your paint and what effects you're going for.
Createx recommends a gloss black for their quicksilver chrome paint, for instance. But that's a different formulation.

You can also use gray

Note the color reference is silver on silver sealer........
But like @HellBird said , you can use a different colors for different effect. Usually best to choose based on anything that will go over the silver if there is to be something after the silver.

Little late to the party, but I used exact same silver on white base coat and silver looks very beautifull.
