Man, I screwed up the registration form and this is the 5th attempt n 3rd day in a row I tried to get on here. Hope it's worth it.
Anyway if u will excuse me, I'm sure I have some questions that more experienced users will think are idiotic. Lol. I'm an electrician and have to explain real simple stuff to younger guys over n over every day. So I get your frustration. But if u could, bare with me. I have just been experimenting in my shed for about a month and would like to move on to... getting $#!+ right the first time. So few questions
(Painting t-shirts, tools, rims, a plastic utility cart) this is about the tools. Their metal obviosly. Steel i think. Have been paitnted flat black from the manufacturer.
So. Here goes...
Do u sand between clearcoats? (If yes, could explain y briefly that would be great)
Will 5-6 clearcoats make these "tools" (their like Phillips bit extensions) durable enough not to scratch off the paint? I'm using a badger a.b.gun, at like 45psi krylon paint, (I think, I'll check that)
Last silly question. Can I use like t-shirt paint on a metal surface (only because I have cool colors in t-shirt paint already) and then use a clear coat over that?...
Thanks for any help. I am bugging out at this point. T-shirts are coming out okay but I wanna move on to like helmets n car hoods and it's a different animal I guess. Also does anyone typiccly use their normal airbrush gun to shoot clear? It seems to get really hard to clean it off my stuff. Worried it's going to screw my guns up. Thanks again. full of questions today. any help is very appreciated.
