Google for ‘synthetic paper UK’
There will be a supplier somewhere there.
It’s used in menu’s, signage etc some places offer small sized samples.
@jord001 may be able to steer you in the right direction.
I’ll do some hunting for you tomorrow, it’s 10:30 pm here and I’ve got a 5am alarm :)

PS: waterproof is not the same as synthetic. Waterproof can be waxy :) but they often use waterproof to describe synthetic papers.

TreaSlate does not allow erasing at least in my experience. The thin sheets of Yupo work good however the heavier shears have delaminates on me two times in a row so I refuse to use it. Dru’s paper worked the best. Claybord works just as well. Hope you find success in what ever you chose.

I had no issues while erasing or scratching with Terraslate. Yupo on the other hand I just could not deal with the skating of the paint no matter my reduction, I even tested my mix on pane of glass without the skating. But again what works for some may not work for all.

There’s a manufacturer in the U.K. called Tough Print. They do the larger sizes, I haven’t had the chance to test it for airbrushing yet, but if you speak to them, they may send a small sample to to you to test.

I was going to say Lana Vanguard paper from Jacksons too. I can't remember where I got the free samples from and can't put my hands on the envelope with it in at the moment.

Looks like the group are on the ball today

One thing i will add, when i'm working on synthetic paper I will wipe it down with Isopropyl to remove any manufacturing oils / fingerprints etc.
I've never had an issue with paper delaminating or paint not sticking.
Some of my paint pals were done on 'non mainstream' synthetic paper, Yupo, Blair paper. I have some Lana vanguard and Terraslate to try, but once these two are gone they wont be replace, way to expensive to get them shipped to Australia.

Here's a UK based paper supplier that offers samples.... it may be what you want, it may not be, but you can only try.

http://www.paper.co.uk/products/speciality/teslin/ On the left hand side of that page you'll find the 'request samples' link.

My opinion is that Blair synthetic is the best, then TerraSlate, then Yupo.

TerraSlate has the most tooth of the three, so erasing takes more effort. This allows someone heavy handed like me to soft erase with more forgiveness. Unlike Yupo, which is the least forgiving and erases too easily for my liking.

Funny the different opinions on the paper. Just tried Blair paper and supposedly if you goof you can clean it off. I tried windex with ammonia and it did get all the paint off but I was then left with a shadow on the paper where my image was painted. Could not get it off no matter what...well, it came off once I used a red scotch Brite but then it ruined the paper pretty much.

Yes I had the same with Dru’s paper as well. Fixing a spot is fine but to clean the whole image off doesn’t work.
