    If you havent been pulling and wiping the needle you will get the needle sticking as you've described,

    I dont know if the packing is as far back as this picture would infer, but either way, its the 'o ring'
    If you put cleaner in the cup and pull the needle back and forth as Fred demonstrated (with the chuck undone) you will remove most of the paint as long as it hasnt dried in there.

    Judging by pushing the needle in from the front, from the time the end is out of site to the time resistance starts It's roughly 6mm back.

    i have never pushed the needle in from the front, but if its only ~6mm from the cup, an interdental (plastic core ) will reach it from the cup end. I may have to check in the next few days

    Yeah I think the seal is only about 5mm long so you should be able to just about get through to the other side with an interdental. 10-12mm total?

    They also sell 1.2mm but thats the same as the shaft diameter so might not work as well.

    Yet another step I goofed..i Never undone the chuck and pulled the needle back...damn. I’ll start doing that from now on. Clearly I need to watch the video again!

    I have some too, I’ll have to dig them out and see if they’ll do the trick without damaging the seal. Give me 24 hours, I’m just heading to bed !
