Christmas came early from Mrs. Wonderful. I found in my man studio this a.m. a very red 1.0 horse 3 gallon Craftsman air compressor.

I believe air is air, unless you are in Australia, and I think Clancy (I name everything) will be noisy but effective.

    What say you?

Nice! May he give you many hours of air with low moisture. Blow the roof off!

YOu can build him a nice sound proof box to live in and then he will not scare the crap out of you when he fires up while you're painting :D

That's sweet Steve... That's something nice to wake up to. If you are concerned about the noise, you can always put the compressor in the closet to dampen the sound.

A cheap fix for a noisy air compressor is a longer hose. You can buy standard air hose relatively cheap. Locate the air compressor in a different room, or at the very least farther away from you. And insulated box is a neat idea but, it will also hold heat. If your air compressor runs in a hot environment it will shorten the life.

Hell yeah! That's really nice of her! Yeah too noisy put it in a big cabinet with vents and a computer fan or two. That's what I did with my first unit that was too noisy.
