E81E866D-348C-4C26-9AF4-36883DC0ADC7.jpeg so for practice tonight I thought I’d try some glossy photo printer paper. I looked around the house and found several hundred sheets I purchased from Costco a few years ago. I figured what the heck, it ain’t ever gonna get printed on. Pulled a sheet out and yea, it’s glossy as all get out. I figured I’d spray on the back then. Turned it over and ran my hands over it and guess what, it felt just like terraslate! I know it’s not but man it feels just like it on the back. Soooooo, I spray a bunch of stuff on it and say to myself, let’s see if I can erase? Oh yea, erases great just like terraslate if not better, paint sticks on it great without ANY skipping or spidering. Sure it’s only letter size but for all us newbies here might be a good option to expensive terraslate. I’d like to send a dozen sheets or so to the resident ( in the states) experts here. Herb for sure will be one but maybe DaveG and a few more..I will also post a pic of the box it comes in as I’m sure Costco still carries it.

Anywho, just a long winded FYI. use the info as seen fit

    See ya folks

Photo paper is great, even on the 'Proper' shiny side :)
sure it wont tolerate heavy erasing but it works for most uses.

Here I can buy gloss and Matte photo paper in 5" x 7" sizes - now if only I could think of a use for something 5" x 7" :ninja:

Poster board is another often overlooked product.

I've used photo paper for some of my pps and it works well erasing but not scratching as it tears the surface coating

@basepaint and @Joe T , thank you for sharing that tip. I have a TON of photo paper, and ironically, a so called photo printer that despises the stuff. :sus: Wanted to print out old photo files a few years ago, but lost the urge with several life events, so this would be a great alternative use! :D

Ive only used it on the glossy side....cheapo walmart stuff by pen+gear.....but it would erase easily once, took the gloss coating with it and then it would absorb the paint the next time over it.....i'm sure they arent all created equal as the backside of this is like cardstock.

I have a load slightly more expensive A3 Epson matt photo paper which really thick, I ordered it online ages ago by mistake when I really wanted glossy, I might just give that a go, it would be cool to actually use it up, thought about throwing it out once or twice but the cost of it put me off.

I'm still waiting for renovation work on my house to take place but the wait is doing my face in, I don't want to miss another paint pal so I might just do something ready for it with this paper, I usualky do a lot of scratching and erasing but if I keep that to a minimum it might just work.

I'm sick to the teeth of looking at all my new gear and not being able to use it, there is so much I want to do.
