The parts needed to mount an Iwata Neo TRN handle to a GSI Creos PS290 trigger brush are a bit different from one another. Iwata may have another grip and adapter that may fit up, but I did not want to continue taking blind stabs at it, so made my own adapter. Besides, I like the grip shape and look of the TRN part.

The adapter just screws on the brush like a QC fitting would. A nut holds the grip firmly in place, and then a QC fitting threads on the bottom...

    Love it!
Didn't someone use another handle on one already....? Or am I misremembering and you had just mentions planning it? I thought there was one that fits up?
    Anyway that's cool!
If I snag one I def want a grip for it.

I believe there s a handle available as an extra for the Iwata TH. The build on that brush is almost,if not totally identical to the GSI Creos PS290 - so that handle, and what ever is used for mounting it, may be a direct fitment for the PS290. I really do not know (I searched for the schematic, but did not readily find it). I don't care for that handle much, so went with this set up. The Iwata TH handle is flat sided, less contoured, and looks like shiny, hard plastic. I have not seen anyone's PS290 set up with a handle mounted, but have no doubt that I am not the only one trying it - seems like a natural on this, or any trigger operated brush.

The TH handle thing sounds familiar, I was probably thinking of something you had mentioned before.

Great idea though, hmm I don't have the tooling to to properly complete an adapter. Probably could hard solder some pieces together though. The neo handle looks comfortable.

I’m still planning on picking one of these up and had wondered about the TH handle. Maybe I’ll give that a try.

Good fix but I think it is not a wise move from MR Hobby not to include a handle with that gun. I can't see how it is comfortable to work without it.

I once tried a Grex knock-off handle on some of my guns. And although they worked perfectly, it was just not comfortable for me.

It would be cool if they did , but to be fair the alternative is paying 225% for the same thing also without a handle.

Here is a listing for the Iwata handle you mentioned that shows its mounting adapter and the zoom bubble gives a lot of detail.

I wonder if its adapter would also work with the neo handle?
If that upper set of threads falls within the same length needed would that be the main factor or is there something else that would be a determining factor?

Yeah, I found the same listing last night - I would guess the adapter would work with the NEO TR handle, but do not know for certain. I am sure the top uses the standard 1/8 thread, so it would simply be a matter of having the right length. I can't imagine one handle is all that different than another, so...

Well, I guess if i get the TH handle set I wouldnt be out much at $8 to try the neo trn handle and adjusting the length of the adapter would be a simple matter of making a cut and using some brass tubing and hard solder. Wouldnt be as nice as your adapter then but.....
It looks like the tail on it gives you closer to a full grip. Thanks for the info on that, and the idea. Looks nice

This is how the green one strips apart. You screw the ong bit on to the airbrush and the push it through the grip and then tighten it up with the nut.
