I bought cheap with olympos I love the things I have 2 - I have cmsb- side by side atomization identical - I will have beautiful collection of Japanese airbrushes!!! I'm not married to Iwata and very much dislike wicked! If companies are putting out products that are Identical for cheaper I'm for it- even if an airbrush was identical to Iwata people are married to Iwata and it would be so- uncool to buy anything else ya know?

That's all good is GSi an Olymp0s? As for not trying that would be silly, but I have been stung trying to do things on the cheap in so many other areas of my life! Also wasted cash on top of the range that didn't deserve its price. Iwata is not one of those company's though, after sales support is outstanding and reputation for quality is there. I would like to try a few other guns but can't really justify any more money at the moment!!

Why you will put iwata head if yours are so cool and good? Or didn't you said that "I have cmsb- side by side atomization identical"?:thumbsdown:

I never regretted spending money on good tools, never met an Iwata I don't like... :) Good luck on your trial.

Probably my biggest artist downfall would be I never glorify my own artistic work Wether it be the tattoos I've done over past 10 years or airbrush- threw away 4 large canvases last year my father in law found them in trash dug them them out couldn't believe I would do that- inside I know a million people better than me.

    Exactly what I was thinking:)

I don't mean to be rude but this statement causes me to refuse to believe that you've done anything at all and a few of your threads which I found pointless and redundant since the subjects were covered in other threads tends to strengthen that feeling, what's the point of creating art of any kind if it isn't allowed to be viewed.

Not so long ago I took a pop at some model maker geezer on YouTube after he made a video shouting about how good his Olympos Micron was, he even stated that it was better than any of his Iwatas, this made me curious so I visited his website where he had a full page write up about how good Iwatas wereo_O in the same video all he does his caress his new Olympos, turning it around over and over showing all sides of it all the while exclaiming how pretty it was, in his own words "I haven't used it yet, but boy does it look good", WTF, how could he possibly know it was better than Iwata without a test run to compare? I would have to be seriously demented to purchase one on the basis of this guys video, I'm a seeing is believing type of guy, so if I don't see video evidence of the brush being used, I am not going to believe it is any good let alone the best.

If you look at my avatar, that is pencil drawing done by my own hand, I posted that a while back and fooled a few into thinking it was an airbrushed painting, I did this as a friendly joke which a few of our mods were in on, but that is how easy it can be to hoodwink folks, and until I see a masterpiece created using only an Olympos, any model at all, I don't mind, I refuse to believe anything about them, I too hide some of my work, but when I do I usually do so because I know myself it's crap, my advice to anyone at all who seriously wants to sell something, especially when it claims to better than something else, got to back that up, show me, no show no sale.

Not so long ago, we were promised a couple of video reviews of the Olympos brushes, but since that was over three months ago I can conclude that the experience was so bad that rather than trash the vendor, just forget and hope no one notices, so as yet, I'm not seeing anything at all remotely positive about these amazing tools:(

This was one of the first pieces I did with my Olympos mp-200c. For the price I think they're great. As has been well documented the majority of the users have had issues with the needles. I either reshape to shorten the original needle or replace with cheap generic needles.
It's funny how some people state that the response on these is better than an Iwata Micron. For me the response is slower. I've done a lot of comparison testing recently in that area. In fairness, the Olympos has the l3 head while the Iwata has the s3. Ill swap that later to see if that makes a difference.
So for me here's the rundown:
Olympos with replacement needle is a great brush. I have $165 in my Olympos. The Iwata Micron has better response and just a tad more fine detail. But it is a .18 vs .23. I have $430 in my Iwata.
Again others may have a different experience.

The olympos response is better but don't know because .23 vs .18 when dropping down towards 5 psi cmsb is first to give out I like it beautiful brush but etac same paint reduction in each cup this was the case

Nice one Greg, I remember this one very well, but with your skills I believe you could achieve the same precision with a straw and some food colouring;) just as impressed with this now as I was back then:thumbsup:
