I’m not that familiar with b cups. I knew that the micron, richpen, and Olympos had notched b cups. I wasn’t sure about the hp-b plus.

I think you could make a lid with a plumbing olive or a small ring of 15mm - 5/8 copper pipe soldered to the coin, it probably wont be pretty but its just a lid. Not sure of the sizes in the US

I ended up ordering a 12 dollar airbrush to see if the lid fits.

I found a Vezobella makeup airbrush that has a lid. It is a B cup and looks very similar to my Iwata HP-B. So I hope it fits! This could change everything :)

Finally made some progress. I received the Vezobella airbrush today. The lid is just a little loose. I’m thinking of a remedy. I’m excited about the possibility of a functional lid for B models.

If I remember right, airbrush paint cups are made slightly out of circle for the lids to friction fit? I think I see on the cheapy Vezobella where they whacked it with a mallet ha

My guess is that my HP-B cup opening is perfectly round since it was never intended to have a lid. Hmm

Please don't tell me you're going to whack your Iwata HP-B's paint cup with a mallet!

Because it's like sticking playing cards in the spokes of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle and going riding with the Hell's Angels. You just don't do it

I don’t want to alter a nice Iwata airbrush so that the lid from a $12 brush will fit! Hopefully there’s some way to make it work. I don’t think I have an o-ring that would stay on the lid lip. Hmm..

I was being facetious , but why why not warp the lid rim a bit?
