    Good Morning!
Just checking in. New Iwata airbrush, new California Silent compressor, mdf, hdf, gesso, Wicked paints..... ready to roll. Not! Loading my daughter's horse for transport, while closing trailer door the big boy kicked and crushed two bones in my right wrist. Did you all know there are 8 bones in the wrist? I do now! I'm so thankful for all of you here. I've been reading, admiring the stunning work all of you post, watching tutorials and my Daniel Power dvds. Be warned, I'll be back. :D

Yikes! That had to hurt

This place is great at keeping the enthusiasm going while you're on the sick list. Always something to read up on and have a chuckle over.
Here's hoping it heals well and doesn't give you any ongoing grief

Ouch I know all to well the power that a horse has when it kicks and to break 2 out of the 8 bones in the wrist is not fun at all . I do hope they do not have to fuse those or if so it is not your writing hand.

Of course it's my dominant hand. Two specialists want to fuse it. I would not be able to oil paint, garden, play the piano or airbrush. That's not happening!

Smart lady :D While recover is slower it is well worth the time to be able to use you hand as you want too. Or at least close to how you want too.

Ow! I've had a few horse kicks, they pack a punch, but not in the hand! Sucks when you're ready to go. Hope they don't go ahead with the fusing !!! Could it not be pinned? Sounds nasty, hope you get some good news and they can fix it up.

You could always try to paint with your other hand, I have tried it and i'm pretty good so if i ever have my right hand out of action I know I could still paint with my left. I haven't got as much control but its doable and I can shade ok.

So glad to be back! It's only taken close to 9 months. After being a creeper here while healing, I'm ready to FINALLY fire up the compressor and get to those dots! Looking forward to seeing more masterpieces and contributing to the mayhem.
