Very nice test @Micha der Wolf. I guess it also comes down to how thick the clear is layed on. I've even see some brush it on and that will give you a solid seal.

I do one normal layer. The absorbency is also improved. It becomes more even.
Today I prepare some A4 sheets for different projekts, I will see how it works.
