Just went over my wimpy little checkbook and I have just enough to buy the CM-C+, 2 hoses and 2 extra needles. Just like to thank this great forum for all the fantastic advice. Before I became a member here I was doing some research on the micron and came across a thread which I believe seamonkey had started about his micron. Was a great read and I happen to notice one of the members sounded like a good friend of mine from a previous forum and wouldn't ya know it, it was Mr Micron lol! So the way I look at it is this place was meant for me to find and join and finally get my hands on the holy grail of airbrushes lol! I'll be placing my order shortly so hopefully by the end of next week it comes. Also want to thank Jeff for his little review of his newly purchased micron, can't wait to try it.

Congrats! And I'm sorry your kids no longer have a college fund. It's an awesome piece of hardware, I'm sure you'll love it.

Right now there is no discount in place . Sorry about that :(
But I am glad to hear you are getting a Micron. I can hardly wait to see the work you produce with it and no worries on the kids college fund you will make that money back and more...

Thought I'd at least try lol! Had a quick question about the micron before I order. I have 7 other brushes that I have all the preset handles off when I paint. Does anybody else paint like this? Just wondering if i can still do this with the micron. Parts guide looks similar to my other Iwata.

That is the one thing the Krome has over the Micron the pre set knob stays in place on the Krome...

Yeah, I never use the damn things. Hell, I even hate the back end with the cutout. I love the fact that My Evolution AL Plus doesn't have a needle stop or a cutout.

I turned the cut out so it face up and down ,, But there are times I am glad it is there when I am doing color changes.

well there are two reasons , One the needle bearing screw adjustment has 4 slots in it so you can tighten it or loosen it with out having to take off the handle and the other reason is for pulling back on the needle for clogs or faster clean out.

i think the reason why the preset handle works better oon the renegade is it does not hit your hand i have big klunky man hands and my hand hits the pre set kanob all the time but not on the renegades the handlle is longer ..... ps i never never use the thing but i cant airbrush without the handle on just dont feel right . maybe a bit of ruber tubing i wonder if coast would cut the cost if i wanted it with a plastic handle lol or just with out

Main reason is the threading on the Micron's preset has coarse threads where the Krome is Fine threaded. So it is easier for the larger threading to work its way either in or out .
Some just put a piece of masking tape on it to hold it in place .

One of my first videos I watched was Cross eyed and he removes the handle so I tried it and its a lot lighter and just feels right for me.

I just turn the handle so the holes are facing up/down. That way the knuckle of my finger rides on the rounded edge instead of getting rubbed by the cutout.
Actually, the Infinity has the most useful handle, the needle tension adjustment is exposed so you don't have to remove the handle to use it.
Using that opening to cycle the needle to clear blockages never made sense to me, you can do the same thing by rocking the trigger back and forth with any airbrush.

I agree to that but I have had a blockage that just rocking the trigger did not work and I did have to pull the needle all the way back which is only like 1/32 or maybe 1/16 of an inch more. but it got rid of the blockage.
But that is also when I first started and was using regular Createx..
