It's not pinstriping but I Think it's more fitting here.
I tried these two little experiments. The are painted and gilded from the backside.
First I painted the contour of the letters or the shadows with plotted templates and then with gildingsize the inner part. I use 23k goldleaf.
The outline I paint with OneShot "vermillion"[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Love it. It's difficult to paint the backside of glass being that every is layered kinda backward from normal and ya can't really fix anything cause of the way it goes on...these look good

Great guiding work Micha, I have been looking at doing a sign for my step son' s bar at his house. Coming from a sign writing background this is very interesting to me. I did some many many years ago at college but since then nothing. I am planning to visit a friend who is also doing some of this work and a bit of pinstriping so we are going to do a project together. I'm also looking at water guilding which gives you a mirror finish and glue chipping which is a little harder to get right but it's a challenge I want to take. Thanks for sharing, as soon as I get something done myself I will post it up.
