    Hey Guys and Girls.
My Dad has been doing his annual cleaning out his garage and stumbled across a tool that he used to paint Slot Racing model Cars with.
It’s a branded Humbrol and he thinks he got it in the late 60’s from a model store.
The size of the spray pattern can be adjusted by turning the collar just in front of the trigger. He claims it wasn’t bad to use except that being it was run from a tyre, every time you hit the trigger you get a slightly lower pressure.

It is a cool piece of history. I had no idea that my dad used an airbrush to paint his model cars. He had mentioned this a month or so ago, but at the time I didn’t realise how much he’d used it.
It’s kind of nice to find out.

Now clean it up and put in to use to see how much of a job it was painting with it all those years ago :D

I am going to give it a try, just for the fun of seeing how that works. God knows what reduction to try lol. I can’t start this sucker at 30psi and go drop by drop.

I had thought I might try 50/50, so that’s good to know. Haha, I’m sure my neighbours would love that. But being that they’re both Older Ladies and it’s usually me who checks their oil and tyres, I’d still end up having to pump them back up LOL.

I’m definitely going to give it a whirl when I get a moment. Luckily my Dad is nearly as crazy as me about keeping tools clean, so as I far as I can see she’s ready to go.

Somebody on here dug out a paint sprayer a while ago. I wonder if they ever got it working?

Hmm... hey now thats an idea! You'd need at least 100 feet of hose and a buttload of T fittings...

I remember using one of those "airbrushes" to spray paint the rear shocks of my old Jawa bike my friend had fitted something to the hose so I could connect it to a normal compressor ( I cant remember what he fitted ) but it worked more or less like a mini spray gun and I sprayed the good old auto motive paint trough it with the same reduction as I would use for a normal spray gun
