Hey guys, wasn't sure where to post this so I decided to post here.

I've been wanting to get a table easel to make my work easier but I came across a video that was so easy and inexpensive I thought I'd try it.

I made some tweaks to the original design and really like the result. Here's a link to the video:

And here is my easel. It's adjustable and can hold art boards or stretched canvas. I also added a tray for whatever paint I am using for that project. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

It's good working idea! For smaller woks it will certainly do. I'll keep in mind the idea even though I've got almost done mine for bigger works.
Very good thing is almost nothing spent on this and in the end you have the thing you really need:thumbsup:

Looks great, is that slot cut right through the main upright? I haven't watched the video yet so if it explains that I apologise in advance. I do have an alternative idea for the supports if i were to make one. I made some small desktop ones for a lesson I had to create for my teaching qualification, they're on the shelf in the garage now until I or someone needs one. They came out real good though.

    Thanks guys

@jord001 yes I cut that slot but in the video he used two smaller boards side by side. I only did this because the boards he used were $9 each and the one I used was only $3

Would love to see the ones you made!

If you're interested in seeing all the changes I made just let me know and I'll put up a post detailing that but yes I did cut the slot. That was different from the video.
