They certainly have an interesting sales policy.. you know, have no web sites or even a mention of your new product anywhere on the internet.

I do not think export of airbrushes is a main focus of the companies - they have a pretty decent home country market, and the bulk of their business is concentrated more on industrial spray equipment. They have been the main manufacturer of high end AB's coming out of japan for as long as they have been coming out of Japan, and it seems to work just fine for them...

Really? There are so many airbrushers in Japan they don't even need to inform ANYONE on the internet they have a new product? Even Bearair, who I think is the USA retailer, doesn't have anything about this brush.
So if making a new airbrush model and the only way to sell it is to hope a person calls up and asks if it even exists sounds like a terrible business model to me.

Well, you apparently have a grasp on running their thriving business better than they do, so why not apply for a position with them?

From what little bits I have gotten out of conversation(s) with people that are actually in the industry, I think they are growing tired of dealing with the very small section of the market occupied by airbrushes, so yeah, they put very little effort into it. Now, hop on over to Iwata's corporate website, and go find me some real dirt on their airbrushes. Other than a list of models that are available, I think you will actually find very little information. Not a word about where they are made, which models are no longer available, or what will take their place... actually a stunningly small amount of real information. Now, look into their industrial spray equipment, and compressors, and I think you will find an entirely different situation....

Why would I go to Iwata's corporate site and not their site dedicated to the Iwata airbrush industry? Or CoastAirbrush ? Of course it was me who asked why a company wouldn't advertise in any way a new airbrush they make, and you had to take the most opposite angle possible. But I guess in some sort of delusion world you live in, that's a smart business tactic, if only because I would question it.

Your doing yourself no favours here mate, you seem to have an opinion on just about everything yet there is no evidence anywhere at all on this site that you own any actual equipment, nor is there any sign of any work from you, literally, nothing to show any point to your presence here, I've pulled you on this before at which time you provided no response and you stayed away from the forum waiting for things to calm down before starting up again regurgitating little snippets that you read all over the net pretending to be something you are not.

My hope is that like myself, the mods will become wise to the fact that you are trolling and therefore, serve no purpose here, and when they do I'm sure appropriate action will be taken, you are spoiling the atmosphere on a great forum and that is unacceptable.

I'll ask you once again, how about posting up some of you're work? My very educated guess is, that just isn't going to happen.

And here they are mentioned right here in this forum 5 years ago...
    http://www.airbrushforum.org/threads/rich-pen-airbrush.3382/
Guess that kind of explains the lack of advertising a "new" prduct.
It would seem they had Steven leahy pushing them back when they came out.
As for the 223 though, it seems they aren't using Steven anymore, or doing much pushing at all.
But I can think of tons of examples of things sold in Japan that they take their time importing here....nintendo, lots of cars, lots of options for cars...etc. Seems common. Only if its popular enough there does it ever get here.
