    Ingenious solution :). I can point out one feature on most preset handles that may get over looked. It is the set screw and collar. Almost all preset handles have a collar, most with numbers on it, and a set screw. This collar can be adjusted to limit the limiter. Many will look at the H&S Infinity pre-set, which works much like a ball point pen, and see it as a revelation. You click it in to limit the needle, pull it out for full range needle motion, click it back in to return to the pre-set position. What they miss is that it is just another variation of already existing option. You set your limiter to the desired line width, and then adjust the collar so that it buts up against the handle - so the limiter can not be turned in any more. Paint, unscrew the limiter to return to full range, then turn it back in till the collar buts up against the handle... You can set the collar to neutralize the pre-set so that you can not accidentally turn it in ;)...
