My first eye...

My first eye as promised in intro thread... I found I had trouble keeping the iris line clean and need more work on my dagger strokes.
The messy area near pupil is from tape I used to attach it to board.

That came out great for your first go. Well done! Save that pic and in 6 months do the eye again and see how much you have developed. You will be surprised.

Thx all. I've created a basic exercise for myself that is common w/ regular painting; it's to accurately portray light and shadow to create a realistic effect. It's also it my first shot at using frisket... hopefully will be done and able to share tomorrow.
