Young Tutorling
Hi, very happy to have found the forum, thanks for letting me join 😁
I've taken a one day 'intro to the airbrush' classroom course, which was excellent, but now trying to teach myself.
I've experimented with different boards and papers, different pressures/dilutions etc.
I'm using createx paints and an Iwata Eclipse HP CS airbrush with a big old noisy garage compressor!
I've watched loads of YouTube vids but I still find I'm being very heavy-handed with black paint so I'm trying to improve! 😐
I've attached some early efforts.... (you'll note that I'm keen on cars!). I'm quite pleased but don't look too closely....

Cheers.... Peter

Welcome Pitre, Nice work You have done there, You managed to capture the reflections very well :)

Welcome. I think the eye is great too, I am not sure if the white of the eye is a different shade to the skin but it has atleast the illusion of it and it really makes it stand out.

Thanks, the highlights in the eye are a different colour white, but the rest is all just black, lighter or darker 👍
Encouragement appreciated!

Going too dark too soon is a common part of the newbie journey so don't beat yourself up over that. i found that adding transparent base to my mix helped a lot. think of it as colourless paint when you mix so you don’t end up with a thicker paint than you planned on.
i think you’re well on your way to becoming very confident and competent with your new hobby. Well done.
