Not specifically either ... but useful.

Thanks for your interest in our Precision Cutter --- I just saw some links from this Forum to our site so I thought I'd say hello and offer up some input on our tools It's always interesting to me all the cutting that goes on out there that I'm not aware of -- and fun to read about new markets.

Yes, the Precision Cutter is a non-replaceable blade - very safe and lasts a long time -- if you want replaceable blades, our Craft Blades are great, very safe compared to metal, last a LONG time, and fit into most existing handles --- we have our own handle coming out later this year. You can see them here : http://www.sliceproducts.com/product/craft-blade-straight

You may also like our Manual PEN CUTTER - which has our replaceable ceramic blades and a lot of people use it in the sign industry so perhaps it would work in your industry also -- that item is here: http://www.sliceproducts.com/product/pen-cutter-manual

Actually I did some impromptu stenciling with my daughter a while back at one of the tradeshows we attend in the safety industry (our main market) -- I had a pre-made stencil for spray painting the word SLICE on boxes in our booth, but we forgot the stencil! So my daughter used the Precision Cutter to make her own stencil by hand using regular paper as the material - worked great!

Please email me with any questions -- we really appreciate your business.

It's away's good to hear from the company when they happened to see the post and put in other types that might better suit the airbrusher

Thanks, TJ.
As you are probably aware, the use of the Xacto knife & blade, are considered one of the essential skills required for stencilling - unless you have a plotter of course - and I found your precision cutter to be equal to the task of removing masking material.
It cuts cleanly, does not mark the underlying material, and has excellent control in the ergonomic handle.
In all, a very useful piece of kit.

Splasha - yes, I am actually working on a Craft Knife Handle to accommodate our Slice Craft Blades, which you can see here:

Our Safety Blades were designed, as the name suggests, for safety -- so they do behave a little differently vs. standard X-acto metal blades. The only way to see if they work for your application is to try them of course (or send me some material and I'll test it / video it and post for your review -- contact me via our website at http://www.sliceproducts.com if you'd like my address -- I'll even pay for the freight :)

As far as the Precision Cutter, I'm glad it fits your needs -- admittedly the reviews on Amazon for the Precision Cutter are quite mixed which I attribute to two things : 1), as someone already suggested above, the "right tool for the right job" comes into play, especially with consumers that sometimes don't take the time to read the instructions fully on the capabilities of a product and 2), many of the earlier reviews dating back several years site a quality issue we had that since been fixed of the housing coming apart from the blade.

Regardless, I stand 100% behind the quality of our products - if there's an issue, I'll fix it - either with a replacement or refund if you've bought directly off our website.

I think you'll see the reviews of our products are mostly 4 and 5 stars:

I put my heart and soul into our products and want them to be top notch - thanks again for your support and feedback.

That Slice inc come's on the forum and is helping to see what WE as airbrush artist require to cut masking, stencils and freehand shield's is Great Thank you for taking the time TJ Scimone to help.

No worries - I'd be happy to do some testing on the materials -- just contact me and we can arrange. Thank you!

As I have stated before, I think that for masking material cutting, and seeing as how we often need very exacting control of the blade, I found this item to be brilliant.
Not only does it cut precisely where I want, it also lets me lift the cut edge away from my work - without touching what's underneath! Fantastic!
My only advice to other users is - be careful PLEASE!
These are sharp - real SHARP.
Also they won't stand abuse - ceramic blades are brittle.
If you bear these facts in mind, you'll have no worries!
