Hi all,
SHORTLY my questions
• What is a good substitute for Schoellershammer, or where do you get it it in USA?
• Also, aside from it and Yupo, what other paper brand (that has good absorbing/erasing features) would you recommend and from where (USA sources)?
• What can you recommend as good reference books on anatomy for artists?
MORE DETAILED - what am I looking for and why.
I am still considering myself as beginner, and I am trying to find the best paper for my work.
I had started with sketch pads, for practicing, and had found them useful, but when one gets to use other techniques, like erasing with electric rubber eraser, or with x-acto blades, fiberglass pen, etc, things are getting tougher. Since I am exploring those ways of correcting the image, sketch paper is not a choice anymore.
I have tried Stables Poster board, and I like it's erasing capabilities, as well as Yupo's paper. Yupo is bit extreme, and goes down to the surface, but sometimes that's what you need.
When I was in college, couple of decades ago, I had used the Schoellershammer, that I see is very well accepted by the AB artist in EU, but I am not sure if it's available in USA.
What is a good substitute for Schoellershammer, or where do you get it it in USA?
Also, aside from it and Yupo, what other paper brand (that has good absorbing/erasing features) would you recommend and from where (USA sources)?
NEXT, would be a good reference books on anatomy for artists?
I know there is a ton of online sources, but I wanted to see if there is any books with good photographs/drawings that covers human anatomy, from artist view point. Also, the quality of the images online is often not that great, so printed book might be more helpful.
Thank you.
